Wakeup Educational and Charitable Trust is a public charitable trust registered under the indian trust act vide Registration No.219 in Tamilnadu in the year 2022, with a focus on to enhance the public health programs effectiveness and strengthening the community health programs by reaching out to the socially and economically underprivileged sections of the society both in rural and urban areas.
Preventive Health Screening, diagnosis, treatment and follow up,health card with findings will be maintained. BMI Index – Nutritional status, Dental care,Anemia, Oral health, Skin diseases, Health and Hygiene etc.
Education and awareness programs about health and hygiene, food physiology, ill effects of tobaco and alcohol, Child abuse, Adolescent, Health etc. Focus on Tobaco Awareness programs for students in 7th to 12th classes.
Oral Health Awareness Sessions will be conducted for students. oral health screening followed up with dental treatments like scaling, extractions and fillings done on the mobile dental unit and further treatments will be referred to the nearest dental colleges/hospital for treatment at a nominal cost. Oral Health Education Sessions for parents and teachers will also be conducted.
Community Health Program focusing on the rural poor. A Team of professionals consisting of Physicians, Pediatricians, Gynecologists, Ophthalmologists and Dental surgeons will be arranged and the Team will visit the rural areas and provide valuable service. Medicines will be distributed at free of cost.
Focusing on the urban poor areas. Medical and Dental camps will be conducted in government schools or PHC. Medicines will be distributed at free of cost.
Orphan Support Program (OSP) is an initiative by wakeup educational and charitable trust specially for orphan students to provide support in areas of subsistence(monthly rations, clothes and hygiene kits), Education(school fees,books, stationeries and other school supplies), Health(proper and periodical medical check-ups, referrals, supply of free medicines) and social or recreation(artand creative activities, sports and picnics). The Trust is on the process of identifying and enrolling students.
During the initial study conducted by the trust, quickly realized the marginalization of orphans and the disparity that they face due to the lack of familial and financial support which is why wakeup educational and charitable trust taken it a special case to provide its full support these children, so that they can continue to receive a quality education and be a better citizen equal to others.
Wakeup Educational and Charitable Trust realized the pressing need for pure drinking water in the village level and decided to take up the initiative of installing water projects to provide easy, safe and sustained drinking water and help to improve the quality of life of the village communities by ensuring good health, income and educational opportunities
